Paul T. Slocomb began the practice of law in the St. Louis area in 1994. After attending and graduating from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and Drake University Law School in Des Moines, IA, he returned to his home town of Belleville, IL to raise his own family.
Paul’s work on behalf of injured workers has led to numerous $1 million verdicts throughout the Midwest. Paul has handled cases in over 15 states. He has tried 26 jury trials to conclusion, and has argued before State and Federal Appeals Courts on numerous occasions. His other areas of expertise include Personal Injury Litigation, Insurance Coverage, Small Business Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, Products Liability, Employment Law and Toxic Torts.
Paul is licensed to practice Law in Illinois and Missouri, and has been admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, the Court of Appeals for the 8th Federal Circuit and 7th Federal Circuit of the United States Court, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. He has also served as a Special Assistant State’s Attorney for St. Clair County, Illinois.
Paul also feels it is imperative to use his skills to give back to the community, currently serving as a Trustee of the Signal Hill Fire Protection District, a Board Member of the West End Redevelopment Corporation, a Board Member for Signal Hill School District #181, and a Live News Volunteer Reader for MindsEye radio. In the past he has served as a Board member and Past President of the Signal Hill Education Foundation, Board Member of the St. Clair County Greenspace Foundation, Allocations Representative for the United Way of St. Louis, and a volunteer for the National Children’s Cancer Society and Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois.
